When it comes to diagnostics, our imaging team at Singing River Health System sees the big picture. Our physicians and staff members understand that the key to determining a successful course of treatment is pinpointing the diagnosis quickly and accurately.  That’s why we have invested in state-of-the-art technology to capture clear images that will enable our physicians to quickly diagnose and treat medical conditions, diseases or trauma. 

Our full range of imaging services includes:

• High Definition/Low Dose CT scanner (First on the Coast)
• 64-slice CT scanner
• MRI
• Bone densitometry
• Digital Mammography
• Fluoroscopic x-rays
• Ultrasounds
• PET imaging for detecting and staging various cancers

In addition, our team captures digital images, which are reviewed and stored within our Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS). This technology allows for:

• instant imaging on computer screens rather than using film that must be processed and stored;
• quick transmission to physicians’ offices via the internet for their review;
• storage within our computer system, creating the availability for instant retrieval, as well as comparison with future images that may be taken of individual patients.
